How do we know the quality and safety of local services?

There are a range of processes in place to monitor quality and safety which includes Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspections, individual care management reviews and the monitoring of individual safeguarding notifications to determine if there are particular areas of concern about a service. The Organisational Safeguarding Team, the Councils Contracting Team, the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and CQC meet regularly and share information about any concerns.

The CQC and CCG are members of the Safeguarding Adults Board and so there are good links both at a strategic level and through regular contact with its staff.
