5 Summary of activity to support safeguarding and its impact on practice and outcomes for children
A significant proportion of Safeguarding Board work is undertaken by its sub groups. The priorities for the sub group are determined by the Board Business Plan. In addition the sub groups may identify tasks as the year progresses, responding to locally and nationally identified need and priorities.
The Board’s strategic priorities for 2014-15 were:
- Coordinating safeguarding activity
- Ensuring effectiveness
- The wellbeing of vulnerable groups
- Promoting engagement
The detailed work of the sub groups for the year 2014-15 together with proposed areas for development is set out below. The activity of the sub groups underpins the delivery of the Board’s strategic priorities.
